Our business started in January 2008, a challenging year to start a business to say the least. But Bill persevered. Having come from a solid background in the copier sales industry he began to develop a vision for a new business that could better serve the entire Central Coast. With that in mind, Customer Service, Honesty, and Integrity became the solid foundation of what Duplicated Business Solutions is today. Our clients will happily tell you, Bill's the best.
Bill's small copier business has now become the premier Print and IT Management Solutions Provider of the entire Central Coast region. With steady growth Bill has brought on a growing team of professionals devoted to delivering the absolute best in technology solutions to our clients. Rapid service response and excellence in customer service have been the keys to building a long list of loyal customers. From a small beginning, to partnering with Lexmark, and now being able to offer a wide array of Technology Solutions and Services, our client list now reads like a who's who of the Santa Maria Valley.

Bill Brown, as a local business owner, volunteer, and supporter of local charity organizations, calls the beautiful Santa Maria Valley home. He attended High School in Santa Ynez and later received his education in Business and Finance. Along with his wife, Laura and their three boys, he has settled and established both his family and business here on California's Central Coast.
With a background in printer and copier sales since 1999, Bill saw a need for Santa Maria and the surrounding area to have its own locally owned dealership. Bill opened Duplicated in 2008 as a small local copier and printer dealership. Because he started small he quickly noticed that his ability to respond rapidly to customer issues was the key to his growing success. Before long, his client base began recommending Duplicated's services to more and more local businesses. As many of Bill's clients found success they expanded their businesses and needed a growing amount of continued support. It was a natural course for Bill to keep up and provide those additional services. Eventually the need to be a Managed Print Service Provider altogether became apparent and a full print platform was added. In 2013 the Objectivism of adding Managed IT Services presented a unique opportunity and Duplicated Business Solutions launched into being the Print Management and IT Services leader it is today.
Bill is now celebrating 10 years of helping businesses all over the Central Coast in selecting the best print and tech solutions available. He extends his gratitude to everybody that helped his once small copier shop become the thriving business it is today. Get Duplicated - Celebrating 10 Years!
Kirt grew up on the Central Coast, attended Righetti High School and later Allan Hancock College, where he majored in Business Administration. Kirt has always been involved in local community projects in and around Santa Maria and has 30 years of community outreach through local churches and organizations. When he isn’t helping in person he has maintained a background role of support at local centers that help the less fortunate and give to those in need, such as the Salvation Army and our local Thrift Stores.
Kirt enjoys the classics - Classical music and Classic Rock. You can catch him enjoying music both at home and in the office on platforms such as the syndicated KUSC channel and local rock stations. From Debussy to Zeppelin he enjoys a wide variety and often uses music to set the tone working on his latest project. In addition to music, Kirt spends a lot of his time checking out news sites for current events and updates to the latest in science, technology, and even social media.
Beyond hobbies and activities, what Kirt enjoys most is his family. He not only adores his wife, Kelly, but considers her his best friend. They have two children together who are now both adults – Their daughter lives in Arizona, enjoying both work and life there, and their son travels the world exploring fascinating places as a "rather tall Archaeologist, which has him regularly squeezing into tights spots - especially those small airline seats!"
A few years back Kirt and his wife caught the travel bug while visiting the Hawaiian Islands and have come to love Kauai and the Big Island.
Overall, Kirt places emphasis on both trust and credibility being cornerstones to connecting, “Not everyone is at the same place in their mind as you go about your day, the challenge is to identify that and help that person resolve that issue and get past any barriers to a successful conclusion.” He has an extensive background and knowledge base in print technology and service and has successfully taken the reins here as General Manager.
When Julie joined the Duplicated team, she was already an experienced Administrative Assistant. She was able to add her desire and spirit to help people in order to become the key to our customer service department. Overall, our service-oriented environment here at Duplicated is maintained by each member, but some employees, like Julie, epitomize customer service and just have a natural gift for being helpful. She has a background in volunteering with local area youth programs and is very involved with her church and religious activities.
Outside of work, Julie is happiest spending time with her husband, Bobby, and their many grandchildren. Julie also has a secret passion for writing inspirational poetry!
Oscar was born and raised in Santa Maria and attended Santa Maria High School where he was a community volunteer and Key Club member. When he was young he developed a love for all things technology which later motivated him to go on to earn his bachelor’s degree in Computer Design. He has added to his education by becoming a Certified Lexmark Technician and now, and as an intrinsic member of our IT Help Desk, he is a senior technical specialist who's priority it is to keep customer’s equipment up-and-running "so that they can worry about business and not technology."
With years of PC management and graphics design experience, Royce is a valuable part and senior level expert in our growing company. After he graduated college in the Philippines, Royce moved to Santa Maria, California with his family where he immediately began honing his technology skills. He started as a graphics and web designer here in 2011 and transitioned to our IT department as our company evolved into one-stop business solutions provider. His responsibility is now to help clients with their IT needs, including system administration, network connectivity and security, mobile & desktop support, and hardware configurations & installations.
Royce loves to solve technical problems and see his developments and designs go into production. He also enjoys hiking, playing music with his church band, and as a Newlywed, spending time with his wife and family! Beyond that, his hobbies include investigating new technology, advancements and the latest in products always have his attention.
Ralph is originally from the Philippines where he developed a love for both music and photography, he is versatile in several instruments and excels at the mixing board. While attending University to study Business Management he took an opportunity to intern at a technology company to learn computer skills where, much to his surprise, he found that he not only had a knack for IT, but computer technology ended up being his passion. He is versatile in both the CISCO/Server side of IT technology as well as the OS or Windows desktop side. This makes him a rare and valuable commodity because he can service and provide expert support both on the hardware side with servers and routers but also handle software issues that customers may occasionally experience. After completing his education he worked overseas where he eventually became the IT Manager at a large firm that supported hundreds of users and devices.
As a Technical Specialist here at Duplicated, Ralph is an integral member of our Information Technology team and delivers spot on expert advice and solutions. He constantly surrounds himself with technology and keeps up to date on new hardware and all of the latest trends.
Casey is one of our new additions here at Duplicated. He came in all the way from Columbus, Mississippi to join our team and is an Air Force Veteran – and we thank him for his service. He has always enjoyed taking things apart to see how they work, and then putting them back together again – I think you'll agree, that’s where the real difficulty comes in. He has been in the copier/printer business for more than three years now as professional technician and has been a great value add to us here on the Print Management side. On top of his technical expertise in technology, he holds an automotive certificate from a Forbes “Top 30 Vocational School,” WyoTech.
His wife is currently serving in the U.S. military and is stationed at Vandenberg Air Force Base. They have two dogs, Egypt and Thorin, and in their free time they enjoy video games, cards, and to get out and be active by going hiking. His favorite place is Yosemite.
Conner is a new addition for us and is based in our Fresno office. He grew up exclusively in Fresno, but enjoys traveling, seeing new places, meeting new people, sharing stories, and talking a whole lot – this might be why we hired him for Sales. He enjoys setting and achieving new goals for himself but find his greatest joy in helping someone out of their comfort zone to conquer higher pursuits.
When he’s not out and about making new friends, Conner enjoys pushing his limits in the gym, getting lost in a good book, or listening to Oldies. As he puts it, he’s probably the only young guy around that has a Frank Sinatra playlist on his phone.
“My key to staying enthusiastic is to always have an open mind, and to dream big – I encourage everyone I meet to do the same.”
Stephen is a Southern California Native who's parents were at points, very involved in their own businesses. At a young age he was taught how to help out, answer calls, and even stuffed Christmas Cards for clients every year. One aspect of business he literally grew up with was computer technology. From the AS/400 mini (which is by no means "mini") computer in his father's office to constantly fixing printers and learning complex cash register systems, he grew up in the middle of the new computer age.
His next venture began right after high school where upon graduation he immediately hired into Disneyland - an aspiring and inspiring place for someone who grew up practically in the shadow of Sleeping Beauty's Castle. After being immersed in the ins-and-outs of customer service at the Disney University he became an Attractions Host in Adventureland and Frontierland, where he interacted with thousands of guests on a regular basis and personified Walt's mantra of: Safety, Show, Courtesy, Capacity! He literally wore many hats at the park and took guests on adventures through the jungles of the world as a Skipper on the Jungle Cruise (yes - one of those guys!), down the rivers of America as a Mark Twain Riverboat Pilot, and regularly made guests part of the crew on board the Sailing Ship Columbia. While going to college he also found time to be a part of a 10 time world champion Drum and Bugle Corps, the Cadets of Bergen County. With a second place overall by 4 tenths he "aged out" of the activity and delved back into school learning more about computers and technology. He was later presented with a great opportunity and spent a semester abroad living and learning about French and international business in Lyon, France. Returning to the U.S. with a unique perspective he immediately began working at small "dot com" start-up ventures where he learned everything from QA Testing and Assurance to Digital Subscriber Line service, and technology business fundamentals. Combining some engineering know-how, "just enough to be dangerous," he was repeatedly tasked with liaison duties that had him training and overseeing customer services and sales departments while working closely with the IT and Engineering departments to create seamless internal training and customer retention programs. In fact, he worked as an integral member on teams that launched products such as the web based CRM, internet throttling (bandwidth connectivity and speeds,) and video/movie streaming, which in turn launched businesses such as YouTube and Netflix.
With a youth spent visiting close family friends on the Central Coast, Stephen made that permanent several years ago and has now joined the team at Duplicated as the Business Development manager. But part of him will always be that Jungle Cruise Skipper -
"Well there it is, folks...what you've all been waiting for - the backside of water."
And here is our illustrious team member, Mr. Tim Finnegan. He's an Irish Gentleman who joins us for events, namely the Duplicated St. Patrick's Day Parade in Old Orcutt. Due to his love of the Whiskey, Gaelic for "water of life," Ol' Finnegan fell upon his head so we kept up with Irish tradition and threw him a proper Wake. Of course, like the song, Wake he did! Revived again from a splash of the drink he immediately joined the festivities of his own procession!
He hope to make Finnegan's Wake a time honored tradition and we thank all of those who came out to the first annual event!
Watch for Ol' Finnegan again next year! It has just been announced that the second annual St. Patrick's Day Parade will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2019!
